Bob De Rose

West Michigan is a very unique place. Depending on the weather its one of the few places in the country where you can go skiing, boating, surfing, baseball game, beach, museum, hockey game, concert, symphony, etc. all in the same day.

It feels like yesterday but I have been living in West Michigan since 1991. I moved to Kalamazoo to attend Western Michigan University. My plan was always to move back home to Chicago. However, after graduating living and working in West Michigan has been very rewarding. So I have made the Muskegon area my home with my wife and our new daughter. I lived and worked as a engineer in Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Holland, Grand Rapids, and Muskegon. I have tried to enjoy everything each community has to offer and in between.
I am now a realtor with Greenridge in Muskegon. I have created this page to share 365 Things To Do In West Michigan with people visiting, moving to the area or people in the area to share their favorite fun spots. I am based in Muskegon but I am very familiar with the real estate market along the lakeshore and in Grand Rapids where I own rental properties. For your real estate needs please feel free to contact me at through the web links below or at 231-733-7120.
Thank you for visiting and commenting on things to do in West Michigan,

Wow! What a great idea! And it is great to know of a realtor with a kind nature. We have lived in Cedar springs for a long time, but we are not in the loop when it comes to knowing people in other businesses than ourselves. We will be selling our home and wanting to move to Bear lake, or Platt Lake…or a small cottage on any lake in that area. This is quite down the road, but nice to know who can call!

Great blog site Bob! Are you open to suggestions for more ideas on things to do in West Michigan? I work for a couple non-profit and one for profit theater and we would love to spread the word! All of the companies were founded in GR by locals and are based in GR. If you prefer please email me at and we can chat in more detail, thanks!
