14.3. Kids & Family Expo

January 15, 2014

Its is January, I am tired of the cold weather, snow, and yes I do have cabin fever, and this Expo has been designed to encourage families to come play, celebrate, get active, explore, build, learn, and discover. Their media release states: Families Matter and this Expo will encourage family bonding time along with some moving and creative mind activities. Moving Matters and this Expo will encourage physical activity, empowering children and families to lead better lives. Minds Matter and Creative Play Matters, bringing basic family bonding activities full circle.

Some of the featured areas include:

Kids Building Workshops presented by The Home Depot
Storybook time with KDLville (Kent District Library)
Art Wall Zone presented by Goddard Schools
Face Painting Fun presented by Bethany Christian Services
Balloon Twisting Fever presented by Apple Tree Christian Learning Centers
Coloring Zone presented by Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel
Wall of Gratitude presented by The Mental Health Foundation.
Free Chocolate Milk provided by United Dairy Industry of Michigan; along with “milk mustache” photos
Green Thumb Zone presented by K12
Kids Movie School “A Theatre company for Kids” presented by Children’s Creations Theater
Self Defense – Presented by Flees ATA Martial Arts
Along with a zipline, and a number of featured areas, families can expect to see and feel the love of a community engaged. “What we promote, teach and encourage in a fun environment can only secure the future of the community in which we live LIFE to the fullest. We need strong family fun, creative solutions, support and awareness and community engagement,” says Ben Dixon, show manager of Kids & Family Expo.
