13.136. Festival of Trees

The Muskegon Museum of Art will host its annual Festival of Trees Thursday, November 21 through Sunday, December 1. In what has become a local tradition, a small army of volunteers will transform Museum galleries into a festive holiday display and host special events and activities during the last weeks in November. This year’s decorative Candy Town theme will carry through themed trees, wreaths, and other holiday décor created by local designers and sponsored by individuals and organizations in the community. Visitors can bid on the trees, décor items, and donated gift baskets during the Festival’s on-going silent auction.

Special attractions and events:

• Party in the Pines

• Senior Day

• Deck the Halls décor show with J. Schwenke of

• Live musical entertainment by a variety of local performers

• Saturday visits by Santa

• Gingerbread Village

• Gift Store holiday shopping

• Money Tree, Gingerbread, and Special Tree raffles

Festival hours: Daily 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Sundays 12:00-5:00 pm, closed Thanksgiving.

Festival admission: $7 per adult, $3 per child ages 3 to 17 (under age 3, free), $5 for MMA members. All-Festival Pass: $14 per person. Pay at the door in the MMA Gift Store. Entry to museum exhibition galleries is included with Festival admission.
