13.127. Michigan Irish Music Festival 2013
The Michigan Irish Music Festival returns to Heritage Landing in downtown Muskegon, with a weekend of live music, activities, food, shopping and culture! The Festival features music on four covered stages featuring Slide, Damien Dempsey, Scythian, The Irish Descendants, Millish, Sprag Session, Blackthorn, We Banjo 3, Seamus Kennedy, An Dro, Burning Bridget Cleary, Kennedy’s Kitchen. Check out the Celtic Kitchen and Bob and Bernie’s Pub for authentic Irish food and beverages including Irish Fest Stout, Irish Cream, and others. Activities include the Irish Marketplace, children’s activities, a cultural center, and a session tent.
NEW this year is a Tea Room and also The Highland Games. A popular highlight on Saturday is the Michigan FEIS, an Irish dance competition held at Muskegon Catholic Central. Sunday morning, a Catholic Mass will be held at 9:00 am, followed by a traditional Irish breakfast.
The festival offers an Early-In Free promotion on Friday, only from 5 to 6 pm . Buy your tickets online-Save $5 off any general admission ticket. $10 on Friday (5-11 pm), $15 on Saturday (11 am to 11 pm) and $10 on Sunday (8:30 am to 6 pm). Tickets at the booth are $15 Friday, $20 Saturday, and $15 on Sunday. 3-Day passes are also available.
