Join the Community Foundation for Muskegon County on Thursday, June 7 at 5:00 p.m. at 477 W. Western Ave. (across the street from the L.C. Walker Arena), for the dedication of the new “Snurfer Sculpture” in a ceremony honoring Sherman “Sherm” Poppen. A Muskegon native, Sherm Poppen is being honored for inventing the Snurfer, a way to surf on the snow, and his entrepreneurial success. After the dedication the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce will host a reception at the Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor to celebrate Sherm’s induction into the Muskegon Business Hall of Fame. All are welcome to attend.
After party will celebrate Sherman Poppen and his snurfer invention and will feature live music from House Rockers Unplugged, a free signature snurfertini, cash bar, sushi and hors d’oeuvres, networking, free photo wall and more fun surprises!
