252. Grand Rapids Fishing
The family want to go to ArtPrize, error, the women of the family want to go to ArtPrize but them men want to go fishing. The beauty of Grand Rapids you load the entire family in the car, go to Grand Rapids, park once, and everyone does their own thing. The ladies go to ArtPrize and the men go fishing. I have been told Grand Rapids is the only city in America that you could fly fish on your lunch hour, I don’t know if that is true but I know you could do it.
I am not a big fisherman what I do know is if you just want to fish from the rivers edge you can do that as well as climb down into the river to do some fly fishing or fish off the damn. This time of year people are primary fishing for salmon. According to the Michigan DBR site: Grand River at Grand Rapids: Salmon have been caught up near the Sixth Street Dam. Anglers are using bottom bouncers with spawn bags or spinners. The fish are averaging 12 to 15 pounds. The occasional steelhead was also caught.
So dust off the pole, enjoy the fall weather, go catch some fish, and the let ladies go see some art!!!
