222. Run For Sight

Get your running shoes on, run along the lakeshore, enjoy one of last few weekends of summers and help out the visually impaired. The unique 5K run/walk, the Run For Sight, along beautiful Lake Michigan at Pere Marquette Park. The visually stunning race path will be shared with friends who are visually impaired, who will walk the route after the runners begin.- a 5K run/walk in which Shoreline Vision partners with the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI). Last year ABVI assisted over 1,100 family members, friends, and neighbors who are blind or visually impaired. For over 96 years, the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired has been working to give people who live with vision loss the ability to live with dignity, independence, and opportunity.

5K Run and 5K Walk

Pere Marquette Park – Beach Street, Muskegon

7:00 AM – Registration
8:30 AM – Run
8:30 AM – Walk
9:30 AM – Fun Run

5K RUN AGE DIVISIONS

Age division for males and females are: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

5K WALK

A 5K, non-competitive walk for all ages. The 5K walk is dog friendly. Dogs must be on leashes.

1 MILE FUN RUN

A 1 mile, non-competitive run for younger people, who do not participate in the 5K Run or 5K Walk. Fun Run will begin at 9:30 AM.
