164. Captain Lou’s

One of my earliest summertime fun hangouts in Michigan is Captain Lou’s in South Haven. Its right over the draw bridge on the way to North Beach or the last stop before the bridge before going home from North Beach. Its pretty much an outside bar right on the Black River so its a great place to hangout and watch the boats go by and enjoy the summer nights. Occasionally they will have live bands, DJ’s, and other entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. The favorite thing about Lou’s that I like is that I will run into old friends from WMU, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Detroit, and the local area its kind like a summer time Cheers.

Food at Lou’s is pretty good as well. I have to recommend the lake Perch dinner.
