88. Dutch Farm Market

March 29, 2011

Imagine you heading out of town maybe Chicago or Indy from Muskegon or Grand Rapids. You are finally on the road but that 45min-hour drive is already getting to you. You need a bathroom break, you want something good to munch on but you don’t want to stop at a dirty gas station and get junk food. Simple solution Dutch Farm Market on the North Side of South Haven. The bathroom is clean, the bakery treats are great, can’t go wrong with the fresh fruit, the Sherman Ice Cream and the outside area for the kid to run is all just awesome.

I have stopped here a few times over the years, i just wish it was open all year long. The hours are: Starting late spring, Open 7 days a week, 9 – 6 July 4 – Labor Day, 8 – 7.

Bakery: Fruit Pies, Cinnamon Rolls, Fresh Baked Bread, Fruit Turn-Overs, Cookies, Doughnuts, Muffins

Farm Market: Homemade Jams, Carmel Apples, Fresh Pressed Cider, Country Apple Crisp, Dumplings, Honey, Maple Syrup

Sherman’s Ice Cream is always a big hit at the Dutch Farm Market. 16 flavors of the smoothest, creamiest ice cream in West Michigan, made right next door in South Haven.
